With graphical eqs and other plugins, I usually change something half a dB and go to the other room to listen if it was a good choice, go back and revert the change, walk around the house listening to the material, change something else, on and on. Soundtoys plugins force me to use my ears, not my eyes. I used to be a hardcore FabFilter fanboy, everything had to be mixed clear and transparent, eqs had to be linear phase and as surgical as possible, each plugin needs a frequency analyzer yada yada, but now I want color in everything and Soundtoys have what I want.
Is it worth it to wait? What if they won't do a black friday sale this year?Īll I know is that my payday is on friday and I kinda like the soundtoys a lot.
